Alejandro Alonso Echeverría, 4º ESO

Ingredients for one or two person

  • 200 grams of nuts (you can chop them or use half nut butter)
  • 350 grams of soft, sweet dried fruit (like dates or dried apricots)
  • 150 grams of cereal, muesli, or oats
  • A small amount of salt the not much why  is tastes bad the aperetive the excessive porcionts.
  • 2 tablespoons of seeds or coconut flakes (your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder (for flower very optional)
  • One  smal Tablespooon of cinnamon (optional)
  • A little oil for the mol

Method

  1. If your dried fruit is dry, place it in hot water for 20 minutes yes if you cant spik ahead no has completed the passded
  2. Place the nuts in a blender and chop them very fine. Remove them and place them in a bowl.
  3. Place the dried fruit in the blender and blend until it becomes a soft smalt paste. This paste will hold all the ingredients together.
  4. Return the nuts to the blender together with the cereal, salt, seeds, and cocoa or cinnamon if you want them. Blend a little so everything is well mixed and the ingredients.
  5. The dough needs to be firm when you crush it, but it must not be too sticky on your fingers.
  6. If the dough is too sticky, add more nuts or cereal. If it is too dry, add a small amount of water or oil. Mix again.
  7. Apply a little oil to a pan an use baking paper so the dough does not adhere to it.
  8. Press the dough into the mold with your hands until it is about 1 cm thick. Cover it and we leavel watheber whith want it to rest for at least one hour.
  9. Cut the dough into bars (about 12 bars but depend te numer of peoplr by eat the bars).
  10. If the bars are too soft, leave them to dry a little on a rack.
  11. They become dry very fast, so if you are not going to eat them soon, wrap them and store them in the freezer so the don,t fall apart
