Científicos del Instituto de Investigación Biomédica de Barcelona (IRB) graban un video musical en el que ellos son los protagonistas. La idea pretende darles a conocer y conseguir patrocinadores.
Scientists at the Institute of Biomedical Research of Barcelona (IRB) recorded a music video in which they are the protagonists. The idea intended to let them know and get sponsors.
La idea con la que los científicos de la ciudad de Barcelona se han puesto a bailar simplemente es recaudar fondos puesto que las inversiones en I+D también se han visto afectadas por los recortes del gobierno, con esta campaña de micromecenazgo lo que intentan es avanzar en las investigaciones de enfermedades como el cáncer,el Alzheimer o la diabetes.
Ocurrió el pasado 16 de octubre en Barcelona. Tanto los trabajadores del Instituto de Investigación Biomédica de Barcelona como estudiantes, no dudaron en ponerse frente a las cámaras y bailar la canción de Capital Cities, Safe and Sound
El video, que aparece en YouTube, esta en el siguiente enlace, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=hNOqgHTtvH8) además, con cada click o visión completa en YouTube, el Instituto recibe una donación de dos de sus patrocinadores: el Banco Sabadell y la empresa farmacéutica Sanofi, que ha comprometido sus fondos a los estudios sobre diabetes que se desarrollan en el centro. Debido a la importancia de este proyecto, Josep Guinovart ( pintor, dibujante y grabador de Barcelona) también aparece bailando en el video.
El video fue grabado en diferentes lugares de Barcelona, incluido el propio centro. Y como curiosidad podemos observar a los propios científicos utilizan como instrumentos musicales, ni más ni menos, que matraces, probetas y un sin fín de material de laboratorio. También aparecen distintos mensajes que explican algunas de las causas que son investigadas en el centro.
Este proyecto ha tenido una gran repercusión y no solamente a nivel nacional. Finalmente y como conclusión deciros que deberían ponerse en práctica más a menudo iniciativas como estas, y si os ha quedado el gusanillo de hacer vuestra pequeña aportación podeis, tanto por medio de cada visión del video (como se explica arriba), o enviando un SMS (IRBBARCELONA al 28014). Cada uno de los mensajes por móvil da 1,20 euros al IRB.
NEWS STORY: ENGLISH
The purpose for which scientists of the city Barcelona have been dancing is to share money because, in this campaign, tries to advance research of diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer or diabetes. It happened on 16th October in Barcelona. Both workers of the Institute of Biomedical Research of Barcelona and students, did not hesitate to get in front of cameras and dance the song ‘Capital Cities, Safe and Sound’.
The video, published on YouTube, is in the following link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=hNOqgHTtvH8) besides with each click or complete view on YouTube, the Institute receives a donation funded by two principal sponsors, the financial institution Banco Sabadell and the pharmaceutical company Sanofi, which has committed its funds to studies about diabetes that develop in the center. Because of the importance of this project, Josep Guinovart (painter, draftsman and printmaker of Barcelona) appears also dancing in the video.
The video was shot in different parts of Barcelona, including the center itself. And as we can see scientists use labware as musical instruments, such as flasks, test tubes and an endless labware. Also there are different messages that explain some of the causes that are investigated in the campaign.
This project has had a great impact at international level. Anyway, and as conclusion, just say that more initiatives like this should be implemented, and if you are interested in making your small contribution, you can.
